Ever wondered how a salmon farm operates? Now’s you chance to experience how.
On Monday 9 July the floating Hardanger Akvasenter in Hardanger opens its doors to the public. With the help from underwater cameras you experience life under water. You can also take a walk out on the plant to get a closer look at the salmon.
An exhibition tells the story about the salmon’s life cycle from breeding to a delicious meal on a table in Tokyo or Paris.
If your mouth starts watering at the thought of the pink fish, there is always the opportunity to buy a fish burger. And if you feel the urge to make a salmon meal at home, the centre hands out recipies for inspiration.
The centre provides a boat service from Steinstø to the floating fish farm and visitor centre.
